Output Regulation for Load Frequency Control

Most of the existing control schemes for power systems ensure stability only in presence constant loads and renewable energy sources. Motivated then by inadequacy strategies affected time-varying sources, this article proposes two based on well-known output regulation methodology. The first one is designed classical theory addresses so-called load frequency (LFC) problem uncontrolled injections. Then, order to also minimize generation costs, we use an approximate method that solves numerically partial differential equation regulator propose a controller solution, minimizing appropriate penalty function. An extensive case study shows excellent performance proposed realistic critical scenarios.
